The dust from the Rally has settled, and now all roads lead to the heart of Central Kenya. This May, Ngemi isn't just an event, it’s a season. By introducing a "Seniors Edition" alongside their flagship "6.0" experience, the organizers are creating a space where every generation can connect with the music, food, and soul of the region.

Event 1: Ngemi - Seniors Edition

The Vibe: Refined, Elevated, and Intentional.

  • Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026

  • Time: 11:00 AM – Late

  • Location: To Be Announced (Expect a scenic, serene private estate setting)

This brand-new chapter is designed specifically for the generation that built the culture but often feels left out of the loud, high-energy festival scene. This is about reconnection at a slower pace. Think comfortable seating, premium traditional cuisine, and a curated selection of live music that leans into nostalgia and heritage.

The MyBooze Strategy: Since this event is all about "comfort and connection," it's the perfect time to stock up on premium, smooth spirits. Think aged single malt whiskeys, fine wines, or a classic Gin that pairs well with a long afternoon of storytelling. Use MyBooze to have your top-shelf bottles delivered the day before so you can head out to the venue fully prepared.

Event 2: Ngemi 6.0 — The Flagship Experience

The Vibe: Vibrant, Immersive, and Unstoppable.

  • Date: Saturday, May 30, 2026

  • Time: 12:00 PM – Dawn

  • Location: Limuru, Central Kenya (Specific venue TBA)

  • Tickets: Available on Little Events (Early Bird KES 2,500 | Advance KES 3,000 | Group of 4 KES 9,000)

This is the big one. Ngemi 6.0 builds on the massive success of the previous five editions. It is a high-energy celebration of modern Kikuyu art, music, and community. Expect a lineup of the biggest DJs, live bands, and a crowd that knows how to party. Set in the lush, cool hills of Limuru, the energy here is unmatched.

Tip: Limuru can get famously chilly, and the queues at local spots will be legendary. Don't be the person stuck in a line while the beat drops.

  • Stock the Cooler: Use MyBooze to order your "Ngemi Starter Pack"—Tequila for the shots, plenty of ice-cold beers, and energy drinks to keep you going until the dawn sets.

  • Pre-Game in the Cloud: Get your mixers and spirits delivered early Saturday morning.

Survival Guide for Both Weekends

  1. The Limuru Chill: Both events are in high-altitude areas. Even if it’s sunny during the day, the temperature drops rapidly at 6 PM. Carry a heavy jacket or a stylish throw.

  2. Traffic Prep: The road to Limuru on a Saturday is no joke. Leave early (by 1 PM) to beat the snarl-ups and secure the best parking.

  3. Hydration is Key: Whether you're at the Seniors Edition or 6.0, the sun and the spirits can take a toll. Include a crate of water in your MyBooze order to stay sharp.

The season starts now. Head over to MyBooze to secure your supplies for the 16th and the 30th, and let’s make this Ngemi season one for the history books!
